Simnet Ghana Limited (Simnet) is a subsidiary of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). It was established in 1999 under the Companies Code (Act 179) of Ghana.

OVERVIEW
Simnet Ghana Limited (Simnet) is a subsidiary of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). It was established in 1999 under the Companies Code (Act 179) of Ghana. The company then ran 5/39 and the famous TV Jackpot until 2004 when SSNIT acquired a majority stake in Simnet in 2004.
Simnet provides an online lottery service for the National Lottery Authority (NLA) to provide affordable Lottery Automation Technology, increase the revenue base of the NLA and stakeholders at large, and prevent fraud that characterizes manual lottery operations. The company is the first to provide automated lottery solutions for the Ghana National Lottery Authority.
Simnet has a secure financial platform operating fully on a prepaid system with over 3000 Point-of-sales terminals nationwide connected through GPRS.
A PROFILE OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS
CHARLES MENSAH – BOARD CHAIRMAN
Charles Mensah is the Managing Partner at Trust Consult Ltd. Trust Consult provides accounting, audit, computerized business solutions, and business advisory services to a diverse base of companies in Ghana and across West Africa. Mr. Mensah has over twenty years of experience implementing management and financial systems for companies in Ghana and the UK. He is a product of the University of Derby (UK) and holds an MBA from Manchester Business School (UK). He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) UK and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) GH. Charles is also an alumna of Harvard University’s Executive Programme on Driving Government Performance. Mr. Mensah is a SAGE Certified Consultant, a lover of music, and a supporter of the music industry.
TANKO MOHAMMED
-DIRECTOR
Tanko Mohammed is the Head of Information Technology at the Millennium Development Authority MiDA. His professional experience in the IT industry spans over 20 years including roles at DHL, the World Bank, and Ernst & Young (E&Y). Mr. Mohammed has a BA in Math from Lehman College, an MS in Computer Engineering from Manhattan College, and an MBA from MIT.
MR KOJO ASANTE-ABEDI – DIRECTOR
Mr Kojo Asante-Abedi is an IT consultant and executive with over 20 years of industry experience. He specializes in technology and strategy for online and mobile applications, as well as designing and implementing large-scale, complex software solutions for financial organizations in Africa and Europe. He has a special interest in mobile payment systems and other innovative solutions that will help Africa to leapfrog legacy technology models and infrastructure.
MR JOSEPH APPAU BOATENG- DIRECTOR
Mr. BOATENG is currently a Manager Investment Analyst at SSNIT. He served on the Board of Accra Recreational Centre (2015) till SSNIT’s Exit. Before his appointment to SSNIT, he served as Finance and Administration Head at Simnet Ghana Limited.

Management Team
Simnet’s management team is headed by a Chief Executive Officer who is assisted by a Chief Finance Officer and Business Development Manager. The profile of the management team members is provided below:
Kofi Tettey Sedalo – Chief Executive Officer
Kofi has a wealth of working experience in Information Technology and audit from Soft Tribe and USAID. He is also well-versed in lottery system operations garnered from his previous association with NLA as a Consultant. Kofi can also boast of a very rich background in accounting.
Joseph Kwaako Barima –
Chief Finance Officer
A Chartered Accountant by profession, Joseph has an MBA from the University of Ghana with a wealth of working experience from Ghana and the United Kingdom.
Emmanuel Kwame Awuku
– Chief Operations Manager
A product of the University of Cape Coast, Emmanuel holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Postgraduate Diploma from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Emmanuel has a lot of experience in operations, planning, and project management. He was the Automation Manager of NLA before joining SIMNET.
Andrew Agbo Kitcher –
Chief Technology Officer
Andrew Kitcher is the Senior IT Manager for SSNIT and is currently on secondment to SIMNET Ghana Ltd as the Chief Technology Officer.
His professional experience in the IT industry spans over 20 years, including roles at Vodafone Ghana, Surfline Communication Limited, and IT consultant roles at CC Engineering ( Associated News and Medical Research Council), all in the United Kingdom.
He has a BSc in Physics from KNUST, a Post Graduate Diploma in Electronics and Computer Technology from Westminster University, UK and an MSc in Data Communication from Kingston University, UK.
Mr Kitcher is EC-Council’s Certified Chief Information Security Officer and a member of the British Computer Society

Simnet presently runs six (6) weekly 5/90 fixed odd games namely: Monday Special, Lucky Tuesday, Mid-week, Fortune Thursday, Friday Bonanza, and National Weekly, and a dividend game: Soccer cash for National Lottery Authority

Technical Services
- Supply and installation of an automated lottery system comprising hardware, software, and terminals for the automation of NLA’s lottery games;
- Upgrading of lottery systems with the addition of supplementary equipment, software, terminals, and other ancillary as may be required for the expansion of NLA games;
- Procurement of relevant licenses in respect of the lottery system,
- Provision of field services including maintenance, repair, and replacement of automation equipment;
